Omega Geneve Dynamic NOS SS 1970s Cal 1012

Omega Dynamic automatic. Oval shaped, highly polished case 41.3 x 36.3 in dimension without crown. Watch is 100 percent authentic with correct hands for this type of dial. The Dynamic 1 models ST 135.003 with a calibre 601 movement and the automatic date ST 166.0039 cal 565 were released in 1967/68. The 17 jewel non date version was cal 613. Other calibres followed with cal 752 in 1968 ST 166.079(day date), Cal 1481 ST166.0107 (21 jewels) in 1972, Cal 1012 - 23 jewels in 1973 (ST166.0187, and cal 684 (24 jewels) ST 566.0073 in 1974.

This watch has a calibre 1012 movement housed in case number 166.0175. According to information provided by Jean-Luc Miranda of Omega Museum this is an authentic Dynamic with an automatic calendar movement of cal. 1012, 23 jewels, with central sweep-second hand. This watch style replaced the former Genève Dynamic references ST 166.0039 AND 166.0107. International Collection : 1974-1975

The computer designed ergonomic dial was designed to fit the contours of the wrist. Its elliptical shape results from an advanced study of the anatomy of the wrist and specifically the oval zone on which the wristwatch rests. Self-winding movement. Monocoque case, hermetically sealed crystal assuring water-resistance to 30 m. Dial in harmony with the decidedly functional look of the watch for easy legibility of the hour, the minute and the second thanks to concentric time "zones" and contrasting coloured hands. A new approach to the bracelet was incorporated into the design: a single piece screw-in into a circular groove under the case by a steel ring; cut in Corfam, a porous synthetic material pierced with 30 aerating holes; widened near the case to fit firmly and comfortably on the wrist. Crown integrated to the case in order not to break the aerodynamic line which inspired this famous model's name.
